Summary of work

Performs day-to-day accounting work and reconciles company books at month-end and year-end.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Must ensure regular reconciliation of the books and produce a report thereon to the Chief Financial Officer.
Must keep accounts receivable registers and produce a weekly report thereon.
Must maintain all cash books.
Will be responsible for posting petty cash vouchers.
Must maintain company purchasing records.
Must perform a monthly inventory count of raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse and must bring any discrepancies to the attention of the Finance Manager/MD
Any other work that may be assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or General Manager from time to time.

Key performance indicators

Closing books without errors.
Up-to-date information and management reports.

Terms

Applicants must possess an HND degree with a minimum of one year of work experience.
Practical accounting experience
Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and appreciation of its operations.
Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and reliability
Good appreciation and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, in particular MS Excel.
